Commuters and everyday riders on older 26 inch mountain bikes and comfort bikes converted for town riding who want fewer flats and better night visibility.
The CST Classic Otis is built for the daily grind of city riding. Its grooved slick tread keeps rolling resistance low on bitumen and concrete, while siping along the shoulders adds grip when you lean into corners on wet city streets.
Under the tread sits a 3 mm LDP protection layer to help keep glass and debris out of your tube, and a reflective strip runs around each sidewall so drivers can see you from the side after dark. It also copes happily with hard-packed paths and light gravel.
This is the 26 x 1.75 (47-559) size with a wire bead, a good match for older 26 inch mountain bikes and comfort bikes converted for town riding. It runs with a standard inner tube.

3 mm LDP

Reflective sidewall
A reflective band around each sidewall lights up in car headlights, so you're easier to see side-on at night.
Great for
Maybe not for
Fits 26 inch (559 mm bead seat) rims. Needs a matching 26 x 1.75 tube. Sold as a single tyre.
Check the size on your old tyre
Look for the ETRTO number on your current tyre's sidewall. This tyre is 47-559; the second number must match your rim. If you're not sure, bring the wheel in and we'll check it.
Pump it up regularly
City tyres last longest and puncture least when they're kept at the right pressure. Check them with a floor pump every week or two, as tubes slowly lose air even without a puncture.
