These are Brakco V-brake pads, 70 mm long and black, for replacing worn or hardened pads on a V-brake bike. V-brakes (also called linear-pull brakes) squeeze a pad onto each side of the rim, so the pads wear steadily and are worth checking often.
Each pad has a threaded post with washers, so it bolts to the brake arm and can be angled to sit flat on the rim as you fit it. Replace pads in matched sets so both sides wear evenly, and keep the rim's braking surface clean for the best stopping.

Set up for clean stopping
Fit each pad so its whole face meets the rim flat, clear of the tyre, with a small gap to the rim when the lever is released. A pad set too low can rub the tyre and one set too high can run off the rim, so check both before you ride.
