Riders running tubeless tyres who need a new or spare valve.
A tubeless valve seals into the rim hole so a tyre can hold air and sealant without a tube. This 40 mm Presta valve is made from alloy and has a rubber base that seals against the rim bed, plus a lock nut to hold it tight.
It's sold individually, which makes it handy when one valve is leaking, bent or clogged with dried sealant.
At 40 mm long it suits shallow and medium depth rims, typical of most alloy mountain, gravel and road wheels.

Valve
Great for
Maybe not for
Needs a Presta (6.5 mm) valve hole and tubeless-ready rim tape. Check your rim depth: the valve should poke out far enough to fit a pump head comfortably.
Snug, not tight
Push the base firmly into the rim tape, then do the lock nut up by hand. Over-tightening with pliers can tear the tape and cause slow leaks. Rotate the wheel so the valve is at 4 or 8 o'clock when topping up sealant to avoid clogging.
