Riders refreshing a bike with a 73 mm threaded shell and square-taper cranks that call for a 122.5 mm axle.
A threaded 73 mm cartridge bottom bracket with alloy cups, an aluminium sheath and a sealed bearing. Everything is contained in one unit, so there are no loose bearings to fit, and the waterproof seal helps keep the dirt out.
The axle is 122.5 mm of boron steel with square-taper ends. Match that length to what your square-taper crankset asks for, and make sure the frame's shell is 73 mm wide and threaded.

The bearing and its waterproof seal are built into the cartridge.

Swapped, not rebuilt
A sealed cartridge is not adjusted or rebuilt. When it starts to feel rough or gritty, the whole unit is replaced.
