A rider swapping a tired bottom bracket on a 73 mm threaded shell, with square-taper cranks that want a 113 mm axle.
This sealed cartridge bottom bracket threads into a 73 mm wide shell and is replaced as a single unit. Alloy cups and an aluminium sheath hold the sealed bearing, and the waterproof seal helps stop water and grit getting in.
The axle measures 113 mm and has square-taper ends for square-taper cranks. Axle length decides where the cranks and chain sit, so check the length your crankset calls for before you order.
Sealed bearing
The bearing is sealed inside the cartridge, so it is fitted and replaced as one unit.
Alloy cups
Alloy cups thread into the frame's shell, with an aluminium sheath between them.
Waterproof seal
The waterproof seal helps keep water and grit out.
113 mm axle
A 113 mm boron steel axle with square-taper ends.

Great for
Maybe not for
It suits a threaded shell that is 73 mm wide, square-taper cranks and a crankset that asks for a 113 mm axle. Confirm all three on your bike before ordering.
Measure before you buy
If you are unsure of the axle length, take the old bottom bracket out and measure the axle end to end, or check the crank maker's fitting guide. When the chainline on the current setup is right, matching the old length is the safest place to start.
