Riders happy to take the chain off and wax it at home, who want a clean, quiet drivetrain.
GRAPHENwax is absoluteBLACK's hot melt chain wax: hydrocarbon waxes blended with graphene, with no harmful solvents. You melt the squares, dip a clean chain, and end up with a dry coating that keeps the chain quiet and shifting crisply, with none of the black grime a wet lube leaves behind.
The maker's big selling point is the easy break-in. Once the chain has cooled, you run it between two fingers and the excess comes away, with no solid paraffin lumps and no backpedalling issues. The coating is described as pliable and non-crumbling. The box holds 340 g in four squares.

Pliable, non-crumbling
The maker says it does not chip or flake off onto the bike.

Use
Hot melt wax
The chain is dipped in molten wax so it soaks into the pins and rollers, then cools to a dry film. Dirt has far less to stick to than on a wet lube.
Graphene additive
The maker blends graphene into hydrocarbon waxes to keep friction low and help the coating stay pliable rather than crumbling off the chain.
Great for
Maybe not for
Sold as one 340 g box of four squares. You need a slow cooker or pot used only for wax, a hanger or hook, and a chain you can remove (a quick link makes this easy). Wax is not compatible with wet lube left on the chain, so strip the chain first.
Prep is everything
Wax only sticks properly to a chain that has been degreased right down to the pins. Soak in solvent, let it dry fully, then dip. Never melt wax over direct flame, and use a pot you will not cook in.
