The YBN QF10 Quick Fix Pin is a reinforced connecting pin for 10 speed chains. YBN makes it to suit Shimano, Campagnolo and most 5.88 mm 10 speed chains, so it covers the vast majority of 10 speed road and mountain bikes.
The pin has a pointed guide section on the front. Push the guide into the chain, press the pin through with a chain tool until it sits flush, then snap the guide off. It is a single-use part: once pressed in, do not push it back out and reuse it.
YBN's packaging note is worth following: insert the connecting pin from the same direction the chain was broken, so the new pin goes in cleanly.
