Plenty of the best cranks now use a 30 mm spindle, and plenty of great frames still use a BSA threaded shell. This bottom bracket from Wheels Manufacturing is the bridge between them, with machined aluminium cups that thread straight into a standard English threaded frame.
The cups carry Enduro 6806 ABEC-3 sealed bearings outboard of the shell, and the whole unit is fully serviceable, so a worn bearing is a quick swap rather than a new bottom bracket.
There is one catch worth knowing up front: your crank spindle has to be long enough. In a 68 mm shell it needs to measure at least 104 mm with all spacers and adjusters removed, and standard BB30 cranksets will not work.
