Most smart trainers hold your bike rigidly in place, which is why long indoor sessions can feel harder on your body than the same effort outside. The KICKR MOVE fixes that with up to 20 cm of fore-aft movement: surge out of the saddle or change your cadence and the trainer rolls with you, then settles back to centre. AXIS feet add a touch of side-to-side sway.
Underneath, it's a KICKR v6. You get the same 7.3 kg flywheel, 2,200 W of resistance, gradients up to 20% and +/- 1% accuracy, confirmed in independent testing against pedal power meters. It connects over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ANT+, calibrates itself, and works with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, Wahoo SYSTM and most other training apps.
It arrives fully assembled with an 11-speed 11-28T cassette and adapters for quick-release and thru-axle bikes. Flip the lock-out lever for sprints or FTP tests, then free it up for long endurance rides. At 29 kg it's a trainer to set up and leave in place, ideally on a hard floor.
