The alternating centre tread keeps rolling speed high, while the moto-style shoulder knobs and full-tread siping help the tyre hold a line when braking, climbing or cornering.
This is the Barzo to choose when durability matters as much as outright race weight. The XC Trail reinforced nylon casing, additional sidewall protection and bead reinforcement are designed to give you more security on rocky, demanding trails. Real-world testing found it easy to mount, quick over long rides and dependable on softer ground, grass, dirt and loamy mud, with spacious tread blocks helping clear accumulated muck.
The main compromise is feel on hard, wet rock: the reinforced casing is less supple than a lighter race construction, and wet-rock cornering is not its strongest area. For most XC riding, however, the Barzo XC Trail offers a useful balance of speed, grip and puncture protection.
