Secure the bike on a stand, spray directly onto the brake components, then wipe away with a clean cloth or let it evaporate. Always use it in a well ventilated area. Tru-Tension's motorcycle version carries a note that it is not suitable for painted surfaces or rubber components, so keep overspray off frame paint and tyres.
