The SRAM X5 trigger set gives you a 9-speed right shifter and a 3-speed left shifter, the classic triple chainring mountain bike setup. SRAM's push-push trigger layout lets you shift with your thumb without moving your hands off the grips.
The right shifter uses SRAM's Exact Actuation 1:1 cable pull, so it must be paired with a SRAM 9-speed mountain rear derailleur. It will not index correctly with a Shimano rear derailleur.
Both shifters come with stainless steel inner cables, so all you need to add is fresh housing for a complete refresh.
