The SRAM X4 Trigger Shifter Set gives you a 3-speed left shifter and an 8-speed right shifter, the classic setup on entry-level mountain bikes, kids' bikes and hybrids. Each one uses SRAM's two-lever trigger layout, so you push one lever to shift up and the other to shift down.
Rear shifting runs on SRAM's 1:1 Actuation, which keeps the cable pull even across the whole cassette for accurate, consistent shifts. A gear indicator window on each shifter shows which gear you're in, and each shifter has its own clamp, so they work alongside whatever brake levers are on the bike.
Inner gear cables come in the box. The set weighs about 260 g for the pair, and it's an easy swap when old shifters get tired, sticky or broken in a crash.
