Silca Super Secret Chain Lube is a wax-based drip lubricant designed to deliver clean, quiet drivetrain running without the equipment or chain removal required for hot-melt waxing. It works as a standalone chain lube or as a top-up for a chain treated with Silca’s hot-melt wax system.
The formula uses nano-scale Tungsten Disulfide (WS2) in an air-drying liquid wax. Once cured, it forms a hard, slick coating that repels dirt and debris, helping reduce the grime that builds up on your chain and making routine drivetrain cleaning easier. Independent testing experience has also found excellent cleanliness, reduced drivetrain noise and impressive longevity across demanding conditions.
For the best result, start with a very clean and completely dry chain, shake the bottle well, then apply one drop to each link while rotating the chain backwards. Cross-chain as much as possible during application and allow at least 12 hours to dry—24 hours is preferable in cool or humid conditions. Reapply every 200 miles or when the chain becomes noisy. The formula contains no PFAS and no VOCs, and the 120ml bottle uses a precision applicator tip to minimise mess.
