The Shimano RT-CL800 is the Centre Lock disc rotor from Shimano's Ultegra and GRX level, in the 180 mm size. It uses ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA, a steel and aluminium sandwich with cooling fins, to shed heat quickly and resist fade on long, steep descents.
Shimano reworked the arm shape on this generation to make it more robust, which cuts resonance and helps the rotor run quietly under hard braking. It works with both resin and metal pads.
It fits any hub with a Centre Lock interface and comes with a lockring. 180 mm is a common size on the front of gravel, touring and e-bikes, and on heavier riders wanting more bite.
