These are genuine Shimano R55C4 inserts for carbon rims, the compound Shimano specifies for carbon braking surfaces on its road rim-brake calipers. The pack holds two pairs, enough for both wheels, plus the fixing bolts.
They are inserts only, so they slide into the Shimano cartridge-type holders already on your brakes. Swapping them is quicker and cheaper than replacing the full brake shoe.
Use these only on carbon rims. If you swap between alloy and carbon wheels, keep a separate set of pads for each, since grit picked up on an alloy rim can damage a carbon brake track.
