This Shimano MT200 kit pairs the BL-MT200 left hand lever with a BR-MT200 two piston post mount caliper, set up as a rear brake. It is the brake Shimano fits to a huge range of hybrids, commuters and entry mountain bikes, and a big step up from cable discs or rim brakes.
The lever has a minimum reach of 75 mm, so smaller hands can wrap around it comfortably, and the caliper runs resin pads with generous pad clearance for less rub and rattle. Shimano mineral oil and one-way bleeding keep maintenance simple.
A left hand lever on the rear brake is the standard Australian setup, with the front brake on the right. Rotor and adaptors are sold separately.
Riders upgrading a commuter, hybrid or entry mountain bike to hydraulic braking, or replacing a worn out MT200 rear brake.
