The FC-MT101-2 is the two-ring version of Shimano's MT101 crankset, made for 9-speed HG chains. The 36-22T rings are riveted to a four-arm spider, and the black aluminium arms fit a square-taper bottom bracket. Shimano recommends the BB-UN101 with an LL123 axle length for 68 or 73 mm threaded shells.
The chain line is 48.8 mm, the Q-factor is 179.4 mm, and it is designed for 135 mm quick-release or 142 mm thru-axle rear hubs. Shimano lists no chain guard option for this model, and the crank arm fixing bolts are included. The rings are riveted on rather than bolted, so they are not swapped one at a time. It is not the same crank as the three-ring FC-MT101 or the wider-spaced FC-MT101-B2, so check the model name if you are matching a frame.
