Its SpeedCORE 120 TPI casing and SmartEVO Compound combine a supple ride with low rolling resistance, dependable grip and the extra comfort that comes from a larger-volume tyre.
At 40 mm, it is particularly well suited to all-road and endurance bikes that regularly see rough chip seal, broken tarmac or compact hardpack. Independent testing found it quick for its size, with strong wet grip and a useful level of tread puncture protection. The slick road tread is at its best on sealed surfaces and firm tracks, rather than rocky or technical gravel where a dedicated gravel casing would be a better choice.
