Peaty's Max Grip Carbon Assembly Paste is made for the places carbon parts get clamped: handlebars, stems and seatposts. It is a blend of renewable, natural oils and ultra-fine non-slip pumice particles that adds friction between the carbon and whatever it is clamped to.
That extra friction is the point. With more grip between the surfaces, the torque needed to clamp the part goes down, and the paste also helps stop parts seizing together. The formula is non-toxic, resistant to detergents and washout, and Peaty's says it is readily biodegradable, in a tube made from 100% recycled packaging.
