The Orbea Carpe 40 is a no-nonsense city bike that feels quick and light. Its 6000 series aluminium frame uses Orbea's tube shaping and internal cable routing for a clean look, and the flat riser bar puts you in a comfortable, upright position for traffic.
A Shimano 1x7-speed drivetrain with a 42T chainring and 12-32T cassette keeps things simple, and Shimano mechanical disc brakes give consistent stopping in the wet. Kenda 700 x 38C reflective tyres with puncture protection roll well on the road and handle rougher bike paths.
The frame takes racks and mudguards and clears tyres up to 700 x 40C, so it's easy to set up for commuting. This bike is the Urban Green gloss with matte black finish in a Medium frame.

Orbea started in the Basque Country of Spain in 1840 and has made bicycles since the 1930s. It is run as a worker cooperative. Today Orbea makes road, mountain, urban and kids bikes, from the Carpe city bike to World Cup race machines.
