Morgan Blue Hydraulic Mineral Oil comes in a 1 litre metal can labelled 'For Shimano Brakes'. Morgan Blue describes it as a suitable brake fluid for all Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, whether mountain, road, gravel or touring, and says that because it does not bind water it keeps its quality longer than DOT fluid, so it needs replacing less often.

Two cautions come from the brake makers themselves. Shimano says not to use oils other than those it specifies, and it lists newer brakes that are dedicated to its own low viscosity oil. Morgan Blue does not describe this can as low viscosity. Decide whether a third-party oil suits your brake, and check your model number against Shimano's documentation first.

It is mineral oil, not DOT fluid: never put it in a DOT brake such as SRAM Level, Guide, G2 or Code, and never mix the two, because SRAM says a brake contaminated with the wrong fluid has to be replaced. It is also not a general-purpose oil for every brand: SRAM's Maven, Motive and DB brakes and Campagnolo systems each name their own oil.
