The Tempo KinetiCore gives you modern rotational-impact protection in a straightforward, lightweight helmet designed for recreational cycling. Lazer integrates its KinetiCore crumple zones directly into the EPS foam, avoiding the need for a separate slip-plane liner while keeping the internal design open for airflow. Independent testing found the helmet performed strongly for impact absorption, ventilation and ease of use.
With 19 vents and a reported 93.7% cooling efficiency, the Tempo is particularly well suited to everyday riding and warmer conditions. Real-world testing found the airflow remained comfortable on longer rides and slow climbs, while the helmet’s light weight helped it feel unobtrusive on the head. The clean road-style shape also works well for commuting, hybrid bikes, gravel and casual road riding.
The Unisize 54–61 cm fit range keeps sizing simple, and the TurnSys dial makes it easy to fine-tune the fit. Testers found the retention system secure and comfortable, although the straps and padding have a more functional feel than premium helmets. There is no dedicated sunglasses-storage system or aero-specific design, but that is a fair trade-off for a helmet focused on comfort, ventilation and value. Add the optional Universal Lazer LED for improved visibility, or use the compatible Winter Kit to extend the helmet into colder weather.
A strong choice for commuters, recreational cyclists and weekend riders who want lightweight everyday protection with good ventilation and simple fit adjustment.

The Sweet Cyclists
Every detail as listed by the manufacturer.
Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection. Over the decades, Lazer became closely associated with cycling helmet development, including early hard-shell road helmets and more recent advances in fit, ventilation and rotational-impact design. Since 2016, Lazer has been part of Shimano, and in 2022 it introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection system.
