TurnSys®
The Tempo KinetiCore is a one-size recreational cycling helmet designed for everyday riding, commuting, hybrid bikes, road use and light gravel. Its 54–61 cm fit range covers a broad selection of head sizes, while the rear TurnSys® dial makes it straightforward to fine-tune the fit. The compact, clean styling works well across different types of riding, although riders at either end of the size range should take particular care to confirm the fit before buying.
Protection comes from Lazer’s KinetiCore technology, which builds rotational-impact protection directly into the EPS foam rather than using a separate slip liner. The integrated crumple zones are designed to deform under impact, while the liner-free design helps keep the vents open. Independent riding impressions found the Tempo notably light for its price, secure once adjusted and comfortable over longer rides.
Ventilation is a strong point for everyday use, with airflow that remains effective on warm rides and slower climbs. The helmet also accepts the Universal Lazer LED through its rear Direct Mount, helping improve visibility in changing light. A compatible Winter Kit can add warmth for cooler rides. The trade-offs are typical of a value-focused helmet: the straps and pads feel less refined than premium alternatives, and the one-size shell may appear bulky on smaller heads.
A strong choice for commuters, new cyclists and recreational riders wanting affordable rotational-impact protection, easy adjustment and good ventilation.

Integrated KinetiCore protection
EPS-based crumple zones are built into the helmet to help manage direct and rotational impact forces without adding a separate slip liner.
Broad unisize fit
The 54–61 cm range suits a wide variety of head sizes, with TurnSys® adjustment helping you dial in a secure fit.
Lightweight everyday design
At 260 g CE, the Tempo keeps weight modest for commuting, weekend rides and general recreational cycling.
Effective ventilation
Open airflow helps move heat away from your head, with independent riding impressions finding it comfortable on warm and longer rides.
Rear LED mounting
The Direct Mount rear fitting accepts the Universal Lazer LED, an optional accessory for improved visibility in low or changing light.
Winter Kit compatible
The helmet works with the Winter Kit for Lazer Advanced TurnSys helmets, giving you a practical option for colder conditions.
Straightforward value-focused construction
The simple dial fit system and practical design keep the helmet easy to use, while the straps and padding prioritise function over premium feel.

Every detail as listed by the manufacturer.
Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection. Over the decades, Lazer became closely associated with cycling helmet development, including early hard-shell road helmets and more recent advances in fit, ventilation and rotational-impact design. Since 2016, Lazer has been part of Shimano, and in 2022 it introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection system.
