The Lazer PNUT 2.0 KinetiCore is a toddler uni-size helmet for 46–52 cm head circumferences, designed specifically for children travelling in a baby seat, trailer or cargo bike. At 240 g, it keeps the fit light for smaller heads, while the flat rear panel helps your child keep their head upright rather than being pushed forwards in a baby seat.
Protection is built into the helmet with KinetiCore, using EPS foam blocks designed to crumple and absorb energy from direct and rotational impacts. Extra coverage around the temples adds protection across a sensitive area without relying on an added plastic layer. The front vents also include an insect net to help keep bugs out during rides.
For day-to-day practicality, the TurnSys dial adjustment makes it easy to fine-tune the fit, and the buckle sits beside the cheek to help reduce uncomfortable skin pinches beneath the chin. A reflective sticker on the adjustment dial supports visibility, while the rear mount accepts a Universal Lazer LED. Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection.
