The Enduro 6804 LLU MAX is a 20 x 32 x 7 mm cartridge bearing made for the slow, heavily loaded movement of suspension pivots. Enduro pioneered MAX-type bearings for mountain bikes, and this size has been used as a pivot bearing by brands including Orbea and Santa Cruz.
MAX bearings pack in as many balls as possible through a slot ground into the races, giving 35 to 40% more load capacity than a standard radial bearing. Deep-groove races, Grade 10 balls and LLU full-contact double-lip seals on both sides keep the grease in and the grit out, with a 90% fill of Almagard high pressure grease.
Because of the filling slot, MAX bearings trade a little smoothness for strength, which is exactly what a pivot needs. For hubs and other fast-spinning jobs, a standard radial 6804 is the better pick.
