The Burgtec Shimano Crank Bolt replaces the standard preload cap on Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. Instead of the special plastic tool, it takes an 8 mm hex key, the same one most riders already carry.
It's machined alloy with an anodised Toxic Barbie Pink finish, so it's an easy way to add a bit of colour to your cranks or match other Burgtec parts.
Remember it's a preload cap, not a crank bolt that holds the arm on. It only needs 0.7 to 1.5 Nm, just enough to take the play out of the bearings before you tighten the pinch bolts.
